The monument to A.A. Ahmatova (maiden name -Gorenko) (1889-1966) - poetess, interpreter, specialist in study of literature, was created by sculptor Troyanovsky V.I. and architect Vasilkovsky V.S. It was opened on 2 of September 1991 in the gym¬nasium yard. Once Ahmatova has said: "I've learnt by Lev Tolstoy the alphabet". She has written her first poem when she was eleven years old. The granite monument was presented to gymnasium by businesūmans
