Anna Ahmatova University Embankment 9 (in the yard of philological faculty of St. Petersburg's State University).


The bronze sculpture of Anna Ahmatova done by sculptor Vadim Troyanovsky was installed in the inner yard of philological faculty of St. Petersburg's State University in 2004. Linguists call Anna Ahmatova - the symbol of Russian philology. The bronze statue is the present of the sculptor to the university students. It is the second monument to outstanding Russian poetess in our city; the first, created by the same sculptor, was installed in the yard of gymnasium bearing her name in Vosstanva Street.
