Mexandrovsky Garden.


The bronze bust of the prominent Russian musician, author of the opera "Life for the Tsar" carried out by sculptor Pashchenko V.M. and architect Lutkin A.S. was installed in Alexandrovskv Garden in 1899. On the granite pedestal is written: "Mikhail Ivanovilch Glinka. Was born in Smolenskaya pr. 20 May 1804. expired in Berlin 3 February 1857". To the right goes inscription: 'The Music is my Soul" - Glinka Autobiography, to the left - "Maestoso co moto. Bayan". at the backside: "Was erected in 1899'by St. Petersburg's Municipal Public Government".
