The sculptural portrait of the groat contriver - Ostap Bender - the author, sculptor A. Tcharkin. provided with features of well -known actor Sergey Yursky. who played the role of Ostap in the film " 12 Chairs". Ostap is standing in the street, leaning against the master Gambs' chair. The sculpture's unveil was timed to the birthday of the great Ostap - Suieyman - Berta -Maria Bender-bey, who was born on 25 of July 1900 at 8 o'clock 15 minutes Greenwich, in Odessa. The sculpture is placed near the building where has been situated well-known Petersburg's cabaret "Stray Dog".
