Konnogvarddsky boulevard.
On 5 of November 1815 in the beginning of Konnogvardeisky boulevard were opened two granite Victory Columns dedicated to the victory of Russian Army in the War of 1812. Sculptor Rauch X.D. made two copies of Victory statues, which were done by him and installed in the park of Archduke palace in Scharlotlenburg in 1839 and in Berlin on Belle-Alliance Platz (Parade-ground) in 1843. Two paired statues of allegoric winged figures were cast by November 1844. The columns installation in St. Petersburg was held under supervision of architect Rossi K.I. The height of bronze statues is about 2 meters, the columns height - about 6 meters. Inscriptions at the plinth of each statue read: "C. Rauch FEC". "Lauhammer.1844."
