Derzhavin G.R.Fontanka Embankment 118.

 

 Derzhavin G.R. (1743-1816) - Russian poet representative of Russian classicism. Derzhavin is the author of ceremonial odes, with a main idea of strong and powerful State system, covering the theme of grandees' satire and also landscape and genre art sketches, religious and philosophical reflections, lyrics. The bronze bust done by sculptor Litovchenko M.T. and architect Gephner F.A. was opened on 3 of July 1994. At the bust's backside is given the author's name.
