Gorky A.M.Kamennoostrovsky and Kronverksky Prospects Crossing.

 

The monument to Russian writer Maxim Gorky done by sculptors Isaev V.V., Gabe M.R. and architect Levinson E.A. was opened on 28 of March 1968. The bronze sculpture is installed on the red granite pedestal and can be viewed as from cathedral Mosque, so as from Alexander's Park. Gorky (the original name Alexey Maximovitch Peshkov} (1868-1936) -the author of such novels as "Mother". "Klim Samgin's Life", autobiographical trilogy "Childhood", "In People" and "My Universities".
