Griboedov A.S. (1790 or 1795? - 1829) - an outstanding Russian poet, composer, diplomat, the author of famous comedy "The grief from intelligence". Many tines from this comedy are cited as aphorisms. The sculptor of the monument is Lishev V.V. the architect - Yackovlev V.I. The monument was opened at the 23 of November 1959. There is a gilded sign at the granite pedestal "Alexander Sergeevich Griboedov ".
