Kalinin's Square.

"Mikhail Ivanovich Kalinin. 1875-1946" - says ihe sign at the bronze memorial tablet under the bronze-sculpture. He was Political figure. Hero of Socialistic Labor. From 1919 he took up a post of Chairman ot AUCEC (Ail-Union Central Executive Committee), from 1922 - Chairman of CEC of Russia, Chairman of USSR Supreme Soviet Presidium. In those days he was called "nation-wide headman". The sculptor of the project- Manizer M.G.. architects - Barutchev A.K. and Rubanchik J.O. The sculpture was opened on 20 of November1955. At the plinth are listed -the sculptor's and manufacturer's names.
