Krylov I.A.Kutuzov Embankment 2. Summer Garden.

 

The bronze figure of the Great Russian fabulist was piaced in Summer Garden on 12 of May 1855. Krylov I.A. (1769 1844) - Russian writer, academician of Petersburg's Academy of Sciences. N.V Gogol called his fables "...the book of peop'e's wisdom". The monument's pedestal is decorated with high-relief plastic compositions, made by Klodt R.K. according to the artist Agin A.A. drawings in terms of the plot of the most well known Kryiov's fables. Inscriptions: at the plinths front side - "Worked Baron Kiodt 1855": at high reliefs plinth - "Worked Baron Klodt".
