The monument to the world's proletariat leader was installed in the Center of Moscowskaya Square, which was thought of as a place of holding parades and demonstrations. The sculpture's unveil was timed to V.I. Lenin birthday - 22 of April 1970. This monument is considered to be a pattern of monumental art. The authors of the project - sculptor Anickushin M.K. and architect Kamensky V.A.
