Lermontov M.V.Lermontovsky Prospect, 54.

 

The monument to the Russian poet M. Lermontov done by architect Mickeshin B. is installed in front of the building of Nicholas cavalry school which in 1916 graduated the poet.
The bronze sculpture is placed on the granite balustrade with two bronze vases and is the part of landscape architecture ensemble. Initially the park was decorated with street lamps and fence, which were lost in 60-years of XX century. The pedestal's inscription reads: "To M.Y. Lermontov 1814-1841", at the backside are listed undying works of the great poet.
