Memorial to the Siege victimsMoscovsky prospect. 188. Victory Park.

 

During the Siege of Leningrad in furnaces of brickyard situated on the park grounds were comaied more Then 600 thousands of perished citizens. In 1996 Ministry of Culture approved the ten itory of the brickyard and two contiguous ponds as a memorial zone. It occupies the fifth part of the park. The memorial done by architect Shapovaiov E.F. was opened on January 1993. The Victory park memorial zone a special care for its historical and cultural importance for contemporary and following generations.
