Mendeleev D.I.Moskovsky Prospect 26/49, the yard of Technological Institute.


"To professor of Technological Institute, 1828-1872, on the day of Institute centenary 1828-1928. Engineers-technologists, scientific workers and students" - reads the inscription on the pedestal. The author of the sculpture - Manizer M.G. Mendeleev D.l. was versatile scientists, pedagogue, the author of more then 500 scientific works in chemistry, chemical technology, physics, metrology, aeronautics, meteorology agriculture, economy and etc. He was the founder and the first director of the Board of Weights and Measures (nowadays - All-Union Scientific Research Institute of Metrology named after Mendeleev D.l.)
