Obelisk at the place of duel Kolomyazhsky Prospect. 10.


The Obelisk at the place of duel was dated to the 100 anniversary of poet's death: it was opened on 8 of February 1937. The authors of the project are: architects - Lapirov A.I.. Katonin E.I.. sculptor -Manizer M.G.
At the granite pedestal is carved:" A.S. Pushkin place of duel. 26/V 1799-29/1 1837". The stele's inscription says: "Here, on Churnaya river 27 January (8 February) 1937. the Great Russian poet A.S. Pushkin was deadly wounded on a dual".
