"Okhtenka"

ImageAt the Revolution, highway and Sredneokhtinsky prospect crossing is installed the "park" sculpture "Okhtenka".


The authors of the project - V. Sveshnickov. Y. Neiman and S. Korolenko  embodied in bronze the image of Okhta region inhabitant created by A.S. Pushkin in illustrious epic poem "Evgeny Onegin". The bronze sculpture of a slender young woman (2.5 meters high) is installed on the granite slab, at the former place of Neva crossing from Okhta to Smolny Cathedral. The statue's unveil was timed to A.S.Pushkin birthday.
