 Scientific and Research Institute (SRI) of Evolutional Physiology and Biochemistry named after I.M. Sechenov The monument to Russian and Armenian physiologist, one of creators of evolutional physiology academician. Hero of Socialistic Labor done by sculptor - Epifanov D.M. and architect - Schreter L.L. was opened on 6 of November 1968. At the granite pedestal on the front side in carved toning letters is written: "Academician Leon Abgarovitch Orbeli. 1882-1958". The bronze bust plinth bears back side inscription: "sc D.M.Epifanov". p-t "Monumentsculpture", Leningrad, 1969".
