I.E.Repin (1844-1930) Russian painter, 'peredvisznik'. master of social portrait and historical canvases. St. Petersburg's Academy of Arts is bearing his name. The composition by sculptor Manizer M.d and architect Spiridonov V.L. was opened on 4 of January 1999. There is a sign on the face side of granite pedestal in cartouche and applied gilded letters: "ilya Repin". At the backside of the pedestal is written: "Administration of St. Petersburg. Russian Academy of Arts, State museum of urban sculpture. The executer - industrial complex "Sculpture", sponsor-Baltic construction company".
