Theatre square.
"To Nickolay Andreevitch Rimsky-Korsakov, 1844-1908" - is written at the pedestal of the monument done by scuiptors Bogoiyubov V.J.. Ingaia V.I. and architect Shepelevsky M.A.. The monument to Russian composer and conductor was installed in the public garden near the Petersburg's Conservatory in November 1952. Rimsky-Korsakov is the author of 15 operas, among them well-known "Snow Maiden" (Snegurochka). "Sadko", "The Tsar's Bride". "Gold Cockerel" and other musical compositions for orchestra, romances and numerous arrangements of Russian folk songs.
