Rzhevka Siege Passage.Revolution highway. 16


On January 12, 1943, after long and thorough preparations and in spite of enemy's strong resistance. took place the joining of two armies (67th Leningrad front army and 2d army shock troops of Volhovsky front) in Rzhevka region. As a result of military operation "Iskra" was partly torn many long months siege, forming 8-11 km passage and giving ability to restore the direct land connection of Leningrad with the country.
