 "Native land explorer, the first Tien Shan scientist researcher. 1856-1857. The member of serfdom peasants liberation movement. 1858 1861 " - reads the pedestal's inscription.
The monument done by sculptor Timchenko A.R was opened in 1987. the figure of the outstanding researcher was installed on the original (1914) pedestal with initially done inscriptions. Semionov-Tienshansky P.P. (1827-1914) is Russian geographer, statistician, organizer of the  first Russia population census in 1897.
