 The monument to Sobchak A.A. was done by sculptor M. Shemiakin. A. Sobchak was on friendly terms with the sculptor, who, in his turn, hold in high respect to political leader, evaluating the great contribution in city's cultural development. A.A. Sobchak passed away on 20 of Februarv 2000 Thanks to him St. Petersburg was returned "the historical name.
