The monument to the heroic Leningrad defendersVictory Square.


On 9 of May 1975 in the Center of Victory Square, was opened the monument dedicated to Leningrad defenders. It is 48-meters granite obelisk with  the  date: 1941 -1943. On high pedestals are placed impressive plastic art bronze groups. The authors of the Memorial project are architects Speranskv S.B.. Kamensky V.A. and sculptor Anickushin M.K.
At the backside of "torn ring" inscription reads: "To your feat, Leningrad!"
In the underground part is situated the museum and Memorial hall, where the Siege of Leningrad chronicle is situated: 900 bronze sheets of heroic epopee. At marble slabs are carved the names of 652 Soviet Union Heroes, given the rank for taking part in the battles for our city in the days of Siege.
