Przhevalsky N.M. Alpxandrovsky Garden. Przhevalsky N.M. (1839 -1888) - Russian traveler, an explorer of Central Asia. Under his leadership look place an expedition around Ussuriysky region in 1867-69. He was the first who described the nature of Central Asia, gathered valuable collection of rare plants and animals; was the first to describe wild camel, wild horse (Horse of Przhevalsky) and other kinds of vertebrates. Artist Bilderling A.A. and sculptor Schreder !.N. por¬trayed him sitting on a camel. The monument was opened on 20 of October 1892. At the pedestal's bottom is written: "Modeled by I.N. Schreder ".
